PH tester 200 hm Digital

The PH 200 HM Digital Pond meter is an advanced micro processor whose task is to test the PH, for example in liquids, with a very high degree of precision.

The PH 200 meter can be used, in a wide range of applications, for liquids that contain acidity or alkalinity. However, to have the desired effects, the liquid must contain less than half, therefore less than 50%, of alcohol and a conductivity of at least 10 micro-siemens (5 ppm TDS).

When measuring PH we mean the quantification and concentration of hydrogen ions present in a specific substrate such as soil, nutrient solution or water. The reference scale of this measure goes from 0 to 14 with the value 7 representing a neutral value. According to this scale, therefore, with values above 7 we have an alkaline solution, on the contrary with values below this threshold we have an acid solution.
The PH is a very important value because its right proportion allows our crops to be able to absorb the nutrient solution in the best way, in order to develop a strong, healthy and luxuriant growth of the plants. As a rule, a balanced PH value for plants oscillates between 5.5 and 6.3: instead, values that deviate too much between this range should be avoided.

Therefore values higher than 6.5 or lower than 5 should be avoided. The combined mix of calcium and sulphate produces the right and precise PH value. It is advisable to check the PH values when the nutrients must be added to the solution and when the water must be re-added, while in the recirculation systems the PH value must be adjusted day by day because its variation can be very rapid.

Finally, be careful to balance the PH, depending on whether the fertilizer, for example, has a high concentration of calcium and sulphate or if the PH of the solution itself is at a level higher than the previously described limits.
